Design & Build
The Pixel 10 carries forward the design language that made the Pixel 9 instantly recognizable — flat sides, rounded corners, and the iconic oval camera bar on the back — but brings it into a cleaner, more refined form. The spacecraft-grade satin aluminum frame pairs with a polished Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back that feels premium without being slippery. At 8.6mm and 204g, it has just enough weight to feel substantial without tiring out your hand on long use sessions. The addition of Pixelsnap — a built-in circular magnet array based on the Qi2 standard — means cases, wallets, mounts, and wireless chargers all snap on magnetically with the same intuitive experience iPhone users have enjoyed with MagSafe. IP68 water and dust resistance means rain, spills, and the occasional sink encounter are no cause for concern. Four distinctive colorways — Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass, and Indigo — give the Pixel 10 a confident, expressive personality.
Display
The 6.3-inch Actua OLED display is one of the most significant improvements on the Pixel 10 over its predecessor. Peak brightness now reaches 3000 nits — a meaningful step up that makes the screen comfortable and readable in bright outdoor environments including the kind of intense midday sunlight common in Nairobi. HDR10+ support enhances video content with deeper blacks and more vibrant highlights, and the variable 60–120Hz refresh rate keeps interactions smooth while conserving battery during static content. The evenly-sized bezels on all four sides give the display a measured, intentional look that sets Pixel apart from the crowded sea of phone designs.
Performance
The Google Tensor G5 is the most consequential upgrade in the Pixel 10 story. Manufactured by TSMC on their 3nm N3E process — the same node used by Apple’s A18 Pro and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite — Tensor G5 delivers a substantial leap in raw processing speed over the Tensor G4. It is co-designed with Google DeepMind, meaning the chip’s neural processing units are specifically architected to run Google’s newest Gemini Nano AI models on-device without relying on cloud processing. In practice this means faster speech recognition, real-time translation, smarter photo processing, and AI-powered features that work even without an internet connection. The Titan M2 security chip adds a dedicated hardware security layer, protecting sensitive data, financial transactions, and biometric information independent of the main processor. With 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, multitasking stays smooth and app switching is virtually instant.
Storage
Available in 128GB and 256GB storage configurations. There is no microSD card slot, so choosing the right storage option from the outset is important. For users who rely on Google Photos backup and streaming services, 128GB is adequate. For those who prefer to keep media, games, and offline content locally on the device, 256GB is the better choice.
Camera
The Pixel 10’s camera is the biggest generational leap the base model has ever taken. The addition of the 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens — a first for any non-Pro Pixel — means you can now zoom in on distant subjects with genuine optical quality, reaching up to 20x with Super Res Zoom processing. The 48MP main wide camera (f/1.7, OIS) with Macro Focus handles everything from sweeping landscape shots to extreme close-ups of small details — raindrops, flowers, textures — with remarkable sharpness. The 13MP ultra-wide with a 120° field of view brings expansive scenes and group shots into a single frame effortlessly. Video recording reaches 4K at 60fps across all cameras, and Night Sight remains the benchmark for low-light photography — capturing clear, vivid photos at concerts, in restaurants, and even of the night sky through astrophotography mode. Auto Best Take automatically scans a burst of group photos and selects the version where everyone looks their best — a practical, quietly brilliant feature. The 10.5MP autofocus front camera with a 95° wide field of view takes sharp, naturally proportioned selfies and handles 4K video calls with ease.
Battery
The 4970mAh battery delivers over 24 hours of typical mixed use, and Google quotes 30+ hours with Adaptive Battery mode engaged. Wired charging at 30W gets the battery to 55% in around 30 minutes with a compatible charger — though the charger is sold separately. Pixelsnap Qi2 wireless charging at up to 15W adds the convenience of magnet-aligned cable-free charging, snapping directly onto any Qi2-compatible charger without fiddling for alignment. For those times you need to squeeze every last hour out of the battery, Extreme Battery Saver mode extends endurance dramatically.
AI Features
The Tensor G5 chip unlocks several new AI-powered experiences that make the Pixel 10 feel genuinely ahead of the competition. Magic Cue proactively surfaces relevant information inside apps — if a friend texts asking where to meet, Magic Cue can detect the restaurant from your emails and offer the address ready to share with a single tap. Gemini Live enables real-time, free-flowing AI conversation including visual understanding through the camera. Voice Translate delivers real-time in-call translation in the sound of your actual voice, making multilingual conversations feel natural. Call Screen, Hold for Me, Clear Calling, and Scam Detection round off a suite of communication features that no other Android phone replicates as seamlessly.
Connectivity
The Pixel 10 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) for the fastest available wireless speeds, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC for contactless payments, and USB-C. It is eSIM-only — there is no physical SIM tray — which provides enhanced security and the flexibility to switch carriers or manage multiple numbers digitally without swapping physical cards.
